Felice English lavender forms a compact, bushy evergreen mound of narrow silver-gray leaves. Fragrant blue-purple flower spikes appear from late spring through summer and can flower again after the first flush, bringing color and scent to paths, patios, and sunny borders.
Plant it in full sun in sharply drained chalk, loam, or sandy soil. It grows best in poor to moderately fertile ground and should be kept away from heavy clay and waterlogged sites. Once established, it tolerates dry conditions well.
Use the low mound along an edge, in a gravel or Mediterranean-style planting, or in a patio container. Remove spent spikes after flowering, trim in late summer, and make any firmer cutback in spring while keeping above old bare wood.
